Apostol Family visits the Edelweiss Foundation
In the framework of “Together we succeed” campaign, launched by Edelweiss Foundation in partnership with “Prime” TV station, Apostol family: parents, Eduard and his little brother, the beneficiaries of a social program, paid a visit to Edelweiss Foundation.

Due to Edelweiss Foundation support, a surgical intervention on heart was performed to Eduard in august of this year, one that saved his life.

When Eduard Apostol was three years old the doctors found he had cardiac deficiency. His illness made him feel different from other kids. He was more silent, fragile and sadder. Every effort, no matter how small it was, exhausted him to death and could always lead to a stroke.
Eduard’s mother, Tatiana Apostol, recollects those times with tears in her eyes: ”Doctors from Moldova didn’t plant any seed of hope, saying that if this one dies we will have the second, the third child…..”

The child could be saved only by having a surgery on his heart. Unfortunately, this type of interventions is possible only in clinics abroad, and the cost of it being extremely high. The piece of news that Edelweiss Foundation is going to donate the money for the surgery came as a ray of light into Apostol parent’s hearts.

The wonder happened in a sunny morning in august at a clinic in Moscow. After six hours of interminable waiting, the parents were informed that the surgery was a success. Words cannot express the emotions the family and all the people who prayed for them back home had.

After they came back and Eduard took his time to recover, the Apostol family paid a visit to Edelweiss Foundation to express their gratitude. Tatiana and Eduard, the parents of the child, brought a special present to Vlad Plahotniuc, Founder of Edelweiss Foundation. It was an icon bought by the parents in Moscow on the day the intervention occurred.
