In the framework of “Together we succeed” campaign, Edelweiss representatives paid a repeated visit to home for elderly in Straseni. The “Sunrise” Day Care Center for elderly is servicing more than three hundred elderly people from Straseni.

And this time again, edelweiss Foundation came with very useful presents to elderly people, offering them plasma TV set and bedclothes for each of them. During the visit Edelweiss representatives discussed about the problems and the needs that the elderly people and the management of the home for elderly encounter. As a sign of gratitude, the beneficiaries of the asylum sang folk songs and invited the guests to a Moldovan “hora” dance.

Veronica Timbalari, the Director of Neumanist Association, who monitors the center for elderly people, thanked Vlad Plahotniuc, the Founder of Edelweiss Foundation, for his support and assistance: “The money that were given by the state are too little and are never enough to satisfy even the basic needs of the elderly. Finally in Moldova there are people who understand what social responsibility is not only by talking but by doing it”.

“Together we succeed” public opinion awareness campaign was launched by Edelweiss Foundation for the development of the Republic of Moldova and PRIME TV station. The goal of the campaign is to promote the principle of consolidating the efforts towards assisting socially vulnerable layers of the society and contribute to promoting the people and successful ideas for the development and flourishing of the Republic of Moldova.
