First playroom for children was opened in the framework of Revive Moldova campaign

As of today, May 31, children hospitalized at Mother and Child Institute will be able to play in a specially designated place at the maternity in Chisinau. The playroom for children is the first project in the framework of Revive Moldova campaign, being inaugurated today by Vlad Plahotniuc, the founder of Edelweiss Foundation with the participation of singers Adrian Ursu and Cornelia Stefanet.

As of today, May 31, children hospitalized at Mother and Child Institute will be able to play in a specially designated place at the maternity in Chisinau. The playroom for children is the first project in the framework of Revive Moldova campaign, being inaugurated today by Vlad Plahotniuc, the founder of Edelweiss Foundation with the participation of singers Adrian Ursu and Cornelia Stefanet.

The playroom was refurbished from scratch, equipped with colorful furniture and toys for all the children for Mother and Child Institute.

Vlad Plahotniuc mentioned: “I am deeply impressed every time I visit the Institute of Mother and Child as this is place my two boys were born as well. I would like to congratulate all the children with Children’s International Day and wish them strong health. I wish parents would seldom come here with health issues, but in case it happens than I want to be sure kids have better conditions than our children had”.

Children hospitalized at the Institute the Mother and Child were the first one to enjoy and play with new toys and games in the company of their families, Adrian Ursu, Marcel and Cornelia Stefanet, who paid a visit to the hospital on this occasion.

“We are connected to this medical institution as we will deliver our baby here. Creating better conditions for mother, babies and children is extremely important and is a gesture worth admiring”, mentioned Cornelia Stefanet, the future mother.

“It was God’s will that our daughter was delivered in this hospital, and I would like to thank Mr. Gatcan for making this process smooth and pleasant. We know that there are difficult cases and we know how important it is to have modern equipment in place, together with a positive attitude. I wish we all have lots of achievements, healthy nation, happy mothers”, said Adrian Ursu.

Vlad Plahotniuc announced that he will make another personal donation in the framework of Revive Moldova fundraising campaign for the renovation of Mother and Child Institute. “When we launched this campaign, I wanted to contribute and I am happy that a number of business people followed my example. Today, I come with another donation of 50.000 lei. By doing so, we would like to urge the renovation works which are so vital for doctors and patients”, said the founder of Edelweiss Foundation.

We remind you that a number of international and local public figures and business people joined the campaign, thus the total collected amount reached 3.941.944, 16 lei. The raised funds will be used for repairs works and purchase of modern medical equipment.
