The caravan of “Renaşte Moldova”(Moldova Reborn) campaign, initiated by Edelweiss Foundation, has reached even the most distant point of Soroca District, Iarova village. Pediatricians have examined tens of children from this community free of charge. Most children have benefitted from an ultrasound medical examination for the first time in their life. This procedure allowed the doctors to identify diseases that children suffer from.

“The majority of children that were examined have chronic tonsillitis or caries, others have issues with gastrointestinal tract”, said Olesea Verlan, pediatrician.

The parents were even more happy to be visited by doctors than the children, since, as they say, they have neither time, nor money to take their little ones to hospital.

More than 3000 children from 40 communities have already benefitted from free medical consulting in the “Renaşte Moldova”(Moldova Reborn) campaign, initiated in April by Edelweiss, founded by Vlad Plahotniuc. According to the organizers, during eight months children from Moldovan villages will benefit from free medical assistance.
