Edelweiss Campaign goes on and offers to the elderly easier access to the services of an eye doctor. "Caravan of Sight" reached Bolduresti, and local retirees had an opportunity to be examined by professional ophthalmologists, assisted by modern medical equipment.

Some of the old people, who came to the campaign that Edelweiss organized, have never had a chance to go to a specialist doctor and check their sight. Such is the case of Nina Marian, 59 years old, who has been having trouble with her eyes for at least ten years, but never had a chance to get to a doctor with it. She was examined, received the needed glasses free of charge, and happy tears welled up in her eyes.
"He is a very kind person, who supports a lot of people and does good things to everyone", Nina said emotionally.

Other people who came to be consulted also liked the initiative of Edelweiss Foundation very much.  "I am very happy, as I have received the glasses that my eyes need. Thank you all!" "I thank Vlad Plahotniuc's foundation for doing a good thing to us", Edelweiss campaign's beneficiaries said.

Ghenadie Verdes, chairman of Nisporeni district, also appreciated the campaign that the Foundation launched. "If you have trouble with your eyes, other issues begin. That is why we can't help, but thank Vlad Plahotniuc's Foundation. We are happy that it is not the first social project implemented in Nisporeni district, particularly in healthcare, and hope that it does not become the last one", he said.

The mayor of Bolduresti was also very pleased that this medical Caravan arrived to his community. "People are very active. Every day about a hundred of people are coming to benefit from these medical services. We sincerely thank you for the services provided here in the community", Vasile Miron said.

Diana Doros, project coordinator in Edelweiss Foundation, was also present, together with dedicated and professional doctors. "Vlad Plahotniuc's Foundation "Edelweiss" continues the project for the elderly. We are already in the fourth project community, in Bolduresti, Nisporeni district. We are happy that over 400 people have already received free ophthalmological consultations and glasses, if these were needed."

"Caravan of Sight" will remain in Bolduresti for another 2 days, and by the end of the year it will have visited all communities in Nisporeni district, as well as some other communities of the country. During this campaign, all people aged above 57 will enjoy free ophthalmological consultations and glasses.
