Unexpected joy happened to the teacher Angela Negrub, who teaches Romanian language and literature for 27 years at the “Sports Boarding High-School” from Cimislia district.

Pupils of the 12th grade wanted to thank and surprise her before graduation, the one who has been next to them for 4 years as a teacher and form mistress. They found out about Edelweiss’s campaign and sent a short movie to the Foundation, in which they expressed their appreciation and gratitude to their teacher.

“An extraordinary, intelligent, and gentle person, she is like a mother to us and a form mistress and a teacher as well. She always supports us when we need it”, one of the pupils said.
The pupils’ videoclip impressed the Edelweiss team members who decided that Angela Negrub will become the third winner of “The most beloved of the teachers” contest.
“We are happy to meet such dedicated teachers who leave a strong mark not only on education, but on the training of their pupils as well. This award is our way of showing them our appreciation”, the Executive Director of the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” Lidia Cucos said.

Besides the title of “The most beloved of the teachers” the Edelweiss Foundation gave the winner also a laptop.
“I have some extraordinary emotions; I think I still do not realize what’s going on. We have some special pupils who really can surprise us. I wish them success and I want you to know that you have made me feel great emotions today. I will further endeavour to justify your expectations by instructing you correctly and having you beside me to teach you to learn and love”, the excited teacher Angela Negrub said.

The high school director also had only good words for the teacher who educated and trained so many generations.
“We thank the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss”. It is a very good project. Today and every day teachers deserve appreciation”, said the headmaster of the high-school from Lipoveni village Gheorghe Rusu.

Under “The most beloved of the teachers” contest seven more teachers will be awarded. To get the prize, the pupils have to make a short movie showing their gratitude to a particular teacher and along with a recommendation letter send it to the Foundation.
