The Edelweiss Foundation is launching this spring a new social and educational campaign for young people from the Republic of Moldova. The School of Edelweiss Ambassadors targets young people from the ninth grades, encouraging them to continue their studies and make early choices related to their professional path, to build a career and realize one’s potential.

Within the project the young people will receive help and guidance from teachers, experts and trainers in order to identify their passions and vocation, to choose their field of interest and a career they want to follow. The young people will benefit from free courses held within the School of Edelweiss Ambassadors, among which: foreign language courses, practical concepts in IT, communication courses, and psychology. Also, study trips will be organized in different companies, so that the pupils could see with their own eyes what it is like to practice certain professions.

The School of Edelweiss Ambassadors is a unique project we organize this year for the first time. We will start with the Hincesti district, where on 24-25 March we will organize the first event of this campaign. We invite the young people from Hincesti in the Great Hall of the House of Culture in the city of Hincesti, where a topical course “Career orientation in adolescence” is organized. Here, pupils and their parents can find out more about the concept of our project, we will come with examples and present the conditions to enrol for free courses of the School of Edelweiss Ambassadors”, said Lara Moraru, the Executive Director of the Foundation.

Such projects for pupils’ guidance in choosing a career and encouraging them to pursue specialized studies are held annually in several European countries.
