The first success of Revive Moldova campaign: The Institute of Mother and Child has a new modern hospital ward
In the framework of revive Moldova campaign the admission department of the maternity ward of the Institute of Mother and Child was fully refurbished.

Vlad Plahotniuc, the founder of Edelweiss Foundation, which launched the Revive Moldova campaign and Stefan Gatcan, the manager general of the Institute of Mother and Child cut the ribbon at the inauguration ceremony. A great number of doctors, mothers and beneficiaries who donated in the framework of the national fundraising campaign attended the event.

Vlad Plahotniuc mentioned: “When we launched this campaign we had a specific objective: offer decent conditions to future mothers, thus showing them that we care. The modernization process of the Institute of Mother and Child is a promise I made to my wife, who delivered here our two children. I promised this medical institution will offer better conditions to patients one day. I also promised to doctors that one day they will be able to practice in better conditions.”

“I am very proud that today we can witness a first step towards our goal and are celebrating the Revive Moldova campaign’s first success. The admission department at the Institute of Mother and Child is the gate to the maternity and the first step in a highly qualified treatment for its patients”, mentioned Stefan Gatcan.

The renovation works have changed the look and the quality of rendered services at the admission office of the maternity. The patients access a welcoming hall with new furniture and enjoy comfort while waiting for medical assistance. The seven wards have also been upgraded.
The opening of the Admission department of the maternity represents the end of the first renovation stage, financed from raised funds in the framework of Revive Moldova campaign.

Vlad Plahotniuc was the one to come with this great idea that was launched by Edelweiss Foundation. So far, ordinary people, as well as notorious personalities from Moldova and abroad, such as the President of Moldova Nicolae Timofti, the speaker of Parliament, Igor Corman, Government of Romania, business people and artists joined the campaign and contributed to the success of the campaign.
Vlad Plahotniuc assured everybody that the necessary amount for the reconstruction works will be collected and did not hesitate to thank the ones who have already contributed to the cause.

The next stage of fundraising will take place on October 19th in the framework of a TV marathon hosted by the well-known and beloved TV presenter Andreea Marin at Publika TV.
