The 25 participants at the eleventh edition of the Festival Ethno Jazz 2012 were awarded by Edelweiss, the foundation that sponsored the performance of the participants.

During the 5 days of the Festival, the participants from around the world demonstrated their most innovative projects, performed on exotic, antic or prehistoric instruments.

The start of the event was given by the jubilee concert of the Trigon band, who celebrates this year 20 years of activity. “We are the advocates of all the good things that are happening in our culture. After all, why shouldn’t we take the ethno-jazz to the point we aim to reach, towards Europe, towards international values we proved right along many years of our activity?”, said the organizer of the Festival, Anatol Stefanet.

After the concerts of the Festival, the students from Tiraspol proved their skill in the hall of the theatre. The event promoted diversity of the world’s cultures and offered a new way of communication between the representatives of different cultures, tolerance and freedom of personality.

The eleventh edition of Ethno Jazz Festival was held in Chisinau and Tiraspol. The festival gathered participants from Sweden, Switzerland, France, Germany, USA, Austria, Bulgaria, South Africa, Romania, Greece, Italy, Senegal, Brazil, Argentina and Moldova, including Tiraspol city.
