Premiere at the National Theatre!

With the support of the Edelweiss Foundation, the famous play „Dragon” of Eugene Schwartz was performed this week-end at the National Theatre „Mihai Eminescu”. Vadim Prodan, stage director, managed to put up a difficult and resistant work and the audience appreciated the actor’s efforts, enjoying the first performance of this play.

With the support of the Edelweiss Foundation, the famous play „Dragon” of Eugene Schwartz was performed this week-end at the National Theatre „Mihai Eminescu”. Vadim Prodan, stage director, managed to put up a difficult and resistant work and the audience appreciated the actor’s efforts, enjoying the first performance of this play.

Financial support for the play was provided by the Edelweiss Foundation. Much effort was dedicated to put up the show, while the initial works on the play started more than half a year ago.

Edelweiss Ambassador, Nicolle Stănese, has congratulated the stage director, Vadim Prodan, for putting up such a remarkable piece, highly appreciated by the audience. Nicolle remarked that: “Every year Edelweiss Foundation allocates a significant budget for cultural projects in Moldova and today’s event demonstrates the importance of the support provided for the development of culture in our country”.

Diana Danu, the spokeswoman of Mr. Vlad Plahotniuc, First Deputy Speaker and Edelweiss founder, thanked the team who worked for this performance: “Let me thank and congratulate those people who created this play, your talent and dedication in the name of art will be fully appreciated by the Moldovan audience”.

This is the second collaboration of Edelweiss with the National Theatre “Mihai Eminescu”. In 2010 the foundation sponsored the performance named “Tree of life” by D. Matcovschi, directed by Sandu Cozub which was played during the fall-winter season.
