The Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “EDELWEISS” is a non-governmental, non-profit and apolitical organization, established by Vlad Plahotniuc in 2010 to support talented and disadvantaged people of the Republic of Moldova. 

Mission

Our mission is to contribute to the development of the society by developing and implementing projects in the cultural, educational and social fields.

Values

All of the foundation’s initiatives are based on the idea that people should have the opportunity to fully develop their potential in order to contribute to the development of the society. These positive results can be achieved by creating opportunities for talented people, by offering support for the capable young people, by encouraging initiatives which help people to improve their life.
The foundation believes in each person’s ability to build own future and every person’s right to a better life, an accomplished life. We believe both in youth, because enthusiasm, dynamism and innovation forces reside in them and in the elderly because they bring us confidence, wisdom, and experience gained over the years.



Message from the founder

Our Foundation has entered its ninth year of activity in the field of charity. Everything we achieved during this period – the national campaigns, positive results, changes for the better which we managed to bring – all this encourage us to continue for many years from now. We want to be next to those who need a reliable support, those talented people, those who are fighting for their lives, for a better life here in Moldova.
This Foundation is a way to be grateful to society, to thank Moldova for everything.
We implement the foundation’s projects believing that the good is growing and spreading, that every young person supported by our foundation will help in his turn other colleagues, other friends. By helping every family to overcome their difficulties we send a message to local communities to engage and help in their turn. This way, year after year, Moldova becomes stronger, more self-confident, and more prosperous.
