Gifts for children from orphanages

In the framework of Edelweiss’ and CERI’s Caravan, tens of volunteers distributed gifts to children from Balti orphanage. The young volunteers are touring around Moldova in the framework of Edelweiss’ and CERI’s Caravan, organized in Moldova by CERI International Organization in collaboration with Edelweiss Foundation.
Children from Balti received shoes, caps and toys as presents. Aneta Serbusca, the Executive Director of Edelweiss Foundation mentioned: “In December, the Edelweiss’ and CERI’s Caravan will reach all orphanages and boarding schools from Moldova, and all the children will receive new winter shoes”. The Edelweiss’ and CERI’s Caravan is a social program in the framework of which all institutionalized children from Moldova will receive winter shoes, other presents and the possibility to watch an artistic holiday program.
In the framework of Edelweiss’ and CERI’s Caravan, more than 7000 pair of shows will be delivered to around 40 orphanages and boarding schools from Moldova. The shoes are custom made by a factory from Chisinau, based on the sizes provided by the residential institutions.
This program was launched this year for the first time by CERI international in partnership with “Edelweiss” Foundation for the Development of the Republic of Moldova. Children’s Emergency Relief International (CERI) is an international organization with the headquaters in Houston, Texas (USA) , which offers social and health services to vulnerable children and young people.
