The well known play Tree of Life by Dumitru Matcovschi was set on the stage of the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre in partnership with EDELWEISS Foundation. At the meeting, the founder of EDELWEISS Foundation, Vlad Plahotniuc, and the poet , writer , producer, and moldovan publicist , Dumitru Matcovschi came up to the decision to fortify their relationship through new collaboration ideas, mainly the editing of a poetry selection.

“ Your creations were with and by me through all the stages of my life , from early childhood to maturity. I am deeply honored to have the chance to contribute to the birth on stage of Tree of Life play , by means of EDELWEISS Foundation, and to the legacy we will leave behind to the next generations. The “Bucuraţi-vă” poem is one of my all times favorite , said Vlad Plahotniuc.

Dumitru Matcovschi said “ I am sure that Tree of Life will be a honorable present to all theatre admirers, especially by the fact that since 1986, this play has not been set by theatres, despite the fact that in 1982 it was the winner of a number of prestigious festivals in Russia Federation”.

In the framwork of the meeting , Mr. Matcovschi received a gift -in 1987, the „Basarabia” poem written by D. Matcovschi was played for the first time and Mr. Plahotniuc offered him a selection of materials about Basarabia, edited in 1903.

Mr. Matcovschi thanked Mr. Plahotniuc for his support and mentioned that he continues to create new plays and poems. The guests agreed to meet at the Opening of the play , which will take place in November this year.
