The epigrams and fables’ contest “Donici – nest of wisdom” reached its 7th edition, and was organized with the support of the Edelweiss Foundation.

More than 80 epigrams and fables writers from both sides of the river Prut have tried their powers in satire and made a lot of fun on the actual political situation of Chisinau.

Fourteen participants were awarded at the end of the contest. The best fables writer obtained this title for the second year in a row. Despite the fact that the prize was offered for his imagination, the winner proved to have a healthy sense of humor. The winners were offered financial prizes from the organizers and the Edelweiss Foundation.

The Edelweiss Foundation is well-known for its actions of support of different cultural projects, as well as numerous festivals, such as the “Maria Biesu Invites” Festival, “Twin Harts in memory of Doina and Ion Aldea-Teodorovici”, and the annual festival of “Christmas Carols”. The founder of Edelweiss is the Prime vice-president of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
