
With Edelweiss Foundation’s support the "Cantabile" Youth Choir will participate in the prestigious international choral contest "Bela Bartok", to be held in Hungary on 25-29th of July. The choir of 28 singers will compete in Hungary with representatives of 16 countries to win the big trophy of the contest.
This is not the first time Edelweiss support young talent of the" Cantabile" Choir. In recent years, the Foundation has supported the participation of the choir in programs aimed to promote Moldovan culture. Thus, young women have participated in several national and international festivals and have managed to impress audiences both in Moldova and Italy, Poland and Romania.
"Cantabile" youth Choir is a group formed by Elena Marian, who is the President of the musical-choral Association of Moldova.
"Cantabile" youth choir was founded on November 1, 2009, at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (AESM). Their repertoire includes works of national and universal composers of different stylistic periods.
