
The laboratory will operate as a center of education and training in food industry within the faculty of Technology and Food Industry of the Technical University of Moldova. A Wi-Fi platform has been set up with the support of Edelweiss Foundation as well. It will enable professors and students of the faculty access the wireless internet. Together with that, Edelweiss Foundation donated modern notebooks to all seven faculties of the Technical University, thus facilitating professors to conduct more dynamic lectures following the example of foreign universities.
The inauguration ceremony of the new training center at the Technical University gathered together Vlad Plahotniuc, Prime-Vice President of Parliament, Ion Bostan , the Dean of the Technical University, Pavel Filip, the Minister of Informational Technology and Communications, and Pius Frick, the representative of LED Foundation, which was the co-sponsor of the laboratory.
On his behalf, Vlad Plahotniuc, who graduated the Technical University himself, and the founder of Edelweiss Foundation, mentioned that this training center will allow students of the university benefit from a modern training center. “Edelweiss’ involvement is assistance, a way to thank this university and professors who educated me”, said Vlad Plahotniuc, the Prime Vice President of Parliament in front of more than 150 students present at the inauguration ceremony of the laboratory.
The founder of Edelweiss Foundation promised that this is not the last project and that together with Edelweiss Foundation he will organize a tour of universities to show his support and render assistance to the most assiduous students of the Republic of Moldova.
