Moldovan National Youth Orchestra continues the series of events to popularize classical music among general public through three exceptional concerts this summer, the entry of which will be free. “Captivating Architectures” promote architectural national monuments through qualitative music from different periods in a series of performances by MNYO.

The first concert – “Captivating Architecture Classic” – represents a chamber recital of classical music where six new MNYO members together with the violinist Vadim Buinovschi will perform. The recital of classical music will be held on August 10th, 20:00 in the National Art Museum of Moldova, and will include works written by Vivaldi, J.S. Bach, Wieniawski, Balakirev, Ysaÿe, de Falla, Enescu, Dubosarschii.

The second concert – “Captivating Architectures Village” – will be the total opposite of the first concert: it will offer its public an atmosphere of Paris within Open Air adaptations of the well-known contemporary singers such as Sting, The Beatles, Balakrishnan, Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Piazzolla, Daft Punk. The special guest who will fill the public with energy will be the Kaiser Band and the experimental element of the evening will be the fusion of the music ensemble Disk Jockey Bishop. The event will be held at the Pani Pit Restaurant and the wonderful place “Village”, on August 11, 20:00.
“Captivating Architectures Soroca Castle” will represent an Open Air Medieval event conducted inside the famous fortress. This time, the repertoire will contain a variety of compositions – from Vivaldi to Daft Punk, including a common repertoire with the previous concerts. The soloists of the last event, as well as of the whole concert series will be the Kaiser Band and the six MNYO members.

These special concerts of young Moldovan musicians are supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Moldova, the US Embassy in Moldova, the Ministry of Culture, Romanian Cultural Institute in Chisinau “Mihai Eminescu”, along with Vlad Plahotniuc’s “Edelweiss” Foundation.
