Revive Moldova campaign caries on: A new wing of Mother and Child maternity has been refurbished
18 December 2014As of today, mothers with newborn babies will be able to recover in newly refurbished wards at the maternity of the Institute of Mother and Child from Chisinau. A new wing of maternity was open to patients in the presence of His Eminence Vladimir, the Metropolitan of Chisinau and all Moldova and Vlad Plahotniuc, the initiator of Revive Moldova campaign, together with the personnel of the Institute of Mother and Child.
As of today, mothers with newborn babies will be able to recover in newly refurbished wards at the maternity of the Institute of Mother and Child from Chisinau. A new wing of maternity was open to patients in the presence of His Eminence Vladimir, the Metropolitan of Chisinau and all Moldova and Vlad Plahotniuc, the initiator of Revive Moldova campaign, together with the personnel of the Institute of Mother and Child.
H.E. Vladimir held an emotional religious service and thanked all people involved in the Revive Moldova campaign for their contribution and devotion.
“It is the St. Nicolas Eve, when presents are being given. We make presents to children, whereas Vlad Plahotniuc is making a greater present for the entire country: modernization of the Institute of Mother and Child. Everything is being done here is done for the society, for the wellbeing of the Republic of Moldova” said H.E. Vladimir.
"I think as long as we do something for a noble cause, for people, our efforts will always be successful. Revive Moldova campaign is already an example, a standard if you wish, an umbrella for other projects throughout the country" added Vlad Plahotniuc, founder of Edelweiss Foundation and initiator of the national campaign to modernize maternity of Mother and Child Institute. Vlad Plahotniuc highly appreciated the improvements since the start of the Revive Moldova campaign and so far. "The thing that we started here at the Institute of Mother and Child is more important than politics, than election campaigns. And those who supported the campaign, even those who didn’t believe in this project, have a clear evidence of a modernization process at the motherhood of Mother and Child institute. The conditions in the renovated wards are similar to those in any European medical institution. We will continue the project, because we need to make this a modern maternity, "said the founder of Edelweiss Foundation.
Since the launch of Revive Moldova campaign, approximately one million euros have been raised, thus the renovation works could be carried out.
Next year, in the framework of the same project, tens of childbed rooms will be renovated and a new modern surgery room will be built together with the opening of a new diagnosis department – Prenatal screening center.
