The Edelweiss Foundation team attended on Friday the inauguration of renovation works in the “Andries” kindergarten in Nisporeni town. These works, which was financed from government funds included thermal insulation and plastering. As a gift on this occasion the Foundation team brought an electric oven and a washing machine as well as toys and stationery for those 92 children attending this institution.

In her inaugural speech the Executive Director of the Foundation Lidia Cucos informed about the Edelweiss involvement in supporting the local community and the educational process in the town: “We have a great pleasure to be with you today and to contribute along with those who seek to do something beautiful for the local community in Nisporeni. We are happy that you can benefit from better conditions here”.

The institution’s employees were impressed by the gifts offered by the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc. “I am very pleased that Mr. Plahotniuc reached our kindergarten with such a good gift. We had a washing machine, but a very old one, it did not wring out well, almost everything we did manually”, said the kindergarten washerwoman Zina Marian.

The lady-cook Anastasia Mariniuc also looked very pleased with the oven received by the kindergarten: “I work as a cook and until now we had a less better oven. We believe it will ease our work and we thank the Foundation. We really needed it”. 

At the same time the kindergarten principal Vera Bârlădeanu said it was not for the first time that the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” helps the institution and thanked for the gifts:

“We are very glad. Thank you for all your support over time. Such wonderful gifts will be useful to us everyday”. 
The kindergarten children were also grateful for the stationery and toys received, and in gratitude they sang songs and danced in front of adults.
