“A New Life” campaign celebrates one year of implementation in the maternity ward in Edinet

During this time, all the mothers who gave birth to children in this maternity ward received on behalf of the Foundation a gift box with items needed to take care of babies in the first days of life.

Ecaterina Zdeara gave birth to a boy of 4.3 kg. This is her first child and she was very excited. When foundation’s representatives came to see her she was surrounded by the whole family, grandparents and baby’s aunt. She was very pleased with the surprise, especially since the mother’s experience was something new to her, and she did not yet know what to buy.
“I really like this gift, here are useful things. We are grateful to you for them, these are the necessary items – diapers, toys, food products”, said mother.
In contrast to Ecaterina, Stela Bestanu is already familiar with a life of a mother and even a life of a grandmother. A few days ago she brought a little boy to the world, Daniel, the fourth child of the family.
“Here we have the first toy, primary necessities, first clothes the baby will wear. I am 44 years old, I have grown-up children, and I have a four-year-old granddaughter. God takes care of us and gave me a little boy”.
The hospital doctors and Edinet district president Iurie Garaz are happy to see the Foundation next to mothers and children of the district. They say it is a wonderful project and an extremely important initiative to support the young families in Edinet and across the country.
The Foundation’s representatives are pleased to have the chance to give joy to mothers and to say “Welcome to this world!” to so many newborn babies.
“We brought you a gift from the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss”. We have prepared for you and your baby a box where you can find primary necessities to take care of the child”, said Lidia Cucos the Executive Director of the Foundation.
“A New Life” campaign started in Edinet in spring 2017, simultaneously with other two maternity wards in Nisporeni and Cahul. Within one year, more than 900 mothers who gave birth in this hospital received gifts on behalf of the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss”.
