At the maternity ward in Cahul this July has filled the hospital rooms with newborn’s cries and parental joy. The Edelweiss team arrived in the middle of this atmosphere loaded with sunshine and smiles having gifts for the little ones and moms and the same sincere “Welcome to this world!” wish.
Patricia, Mateo and Mark are three of the little ones who saw the light of the day for the first time at this maternity ward. Their mothers can’t take their eyes off them and present them proudly, so that everyone could see what wonderful babies they gave birth to.
Patricia has three kilograms and 600 grams and was born at six o’clock and six minutes, and as the people say, all these coincidences related to figure six are certainly a sign of a lucky life.
Mark is a long-desired and long-awaited gift for his mother, and the gift box received from Edelweiss will help them enjoy the first few days together, without concerns.
“We are very happy because, indeed, the gifts for the little ones are very necessary. They are all he needs. This is Mark’s first gift”, said Corina, mother of little Mark.
Ina Milea is also a newly minted mother who was happy to accept a new member into the family, and the Foundation’s support, which she says will be of great help in the early days.
“A help from someone counts a lot in these moments. We are very happy, it is a very welcome gift”, said the mother.
The Director of the Cahul District Hospital Oleg Creciun has told more about mothers’ reaction to receiving the gift box. He thanks the Foundation for the extraordinary “A New Life” project which has been successfully carried out for so long in the maternity ward, which is under his direction.
“When mothers open the box and see how sophisticated this assistance is, how well it is thought out and how useful these products are to them they are very happy”.
“A New Life” campaign of the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” was extended to Cahul maternity ward more than a year ago. Since then, more than 1,500 mothers who have given birth to their babies here have received a gift box with articles of daily necessity to take care of the newborns.
