Socially vulnerable children visited by Santa Clause and Snow White
The Chisinau municipal home , which shelters 91 socially-vulnerable children , aged between 1-7, organized a concert together with the children, during which Santa Clause offered gifts in return for poems and songs.
The event, aimed at bringing joy, happiness and smiles on the faces of socially-vulnerable children, was supported by the Edelweiss Foundation, which will carry out a number of social projects during this period which will benefit socially-vulnerable families, children and seniors.
Most of the children from the Chisinau Municipal Home are either abandoned or left without parental care. Edelweiss intends to bring joy to the children who cannot enjoy the Christmas holidays in the family. The children and their teachers met Santa Clause with laughter and applause, were delighted to meet him together with his helpers, and were anxious to recite poems.
VERA PIRGARU , Methodist at Chisinau Municipal Home for children: "The children waited for Santa, dreamt about him and now their dreams come true - Santa brought lots of presents for them. We would like to thank the Edelweiss Foundation and its founder , Mr. Vlad Plahotniuc from the bottom of our hearts".
VLAD PLAHOTNIUC, Founder of Edelweiss : "Especially in this time of the year, we should not forget about those who are in need, those who need our attention. We will spread the Christmas spirit in orphanages, shelters, elderly homes. We urge other people and organizations to follow this example and bring smiles on people's faces”.
In order to aid the better functioning of the institution, Edelweiss also donated vacuum cleaners and electrical water heaters to the Chisinau Municipal Home.
