Charming Andreea Marin UNICEF ambassador is joining the national information campaign against domestic violence initiated in August by Vlad Plahotniuc’s “Edelweiss” Foundation.
In an emotional video message Andreea Marin urges Moldovan women to take courage and say a firm NO to domestic violence.
“Come to light again to regain your dignity. Talk about your experience or about violence in the life of someone you care. Today you can confide preserving anonymity and you can receive help. Be the light in your life or someone else’s life”, says Andreea Marin in her video message launched this morning.
The UNICEF ambassador sent a profound message to victims of domestic violence who should break the silence and shouldn’t let violence become something normal, but should come to light instead where they can start a new life. At the same time the message promotes the Edelweiss green line 0800 10 881 where victims can be scheduled to psychological and legal counseling sessions: free, confidential and anonymous. These are just some of the methods in attempts to inform people about the ways in which those who need help – can benefit from this support.
Andreea Marin is the second public figure who joins the “Protected Families” Campaign carried out by Vlad Plahotniuc’s Foundation. In September the famous soprano Valentina Nafornita supported in public the information campaign against domestic violence.
Also, it should be mentioned that it is not the first time when Andreea Marin joins the Edelweiss Foundation and the founder Vlad Plahotniuc. Earlier in 2014 she joined the fundraising campaign for the modernization of the Mother and Child Institute in Chisinau.
