“Chisinau Youth Orchestra” which maintains a long beautiful cooperation with Edelweiss Foundation started the selection of young talents to supplement its own band, which would perform in several extraordinary concerts this summer. The selection was carried out by a committee composed of two professional conductors before whom dozens of young instrumentalists showed their music skills.

“When we select for the summer, of course the candidates should have basic technique to perform a very complex programme. I am very glad this young people came here, which fact would allow us to refresh, rejuvenize our orchestra”, said the Director of the “Chisinau Youth Orchestra” and the member of the selection committee, Andriano Marian.

More than 30 young people came to this contest with a lot of emotions and responsibility. “I think I can take a lot of good things from this orchestra. It is very interesting and that is why I want to get more experience”, said a young participant in the contest.

The committee members remained satisfied with the performance of the young people which came to selection. “Today we listened to many young people and we can say that it is pleasing because they are people which have grown, which show a very good performance. I think many of them will be accepted and we will change the composition of the orchestra this year”, said the conductor of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre, Mihail Secikin.
It should be mentioned that following the auditions which will take place in Chisinau and Kiev 30 young musicians will be selected which will perform in summer concerts within the “Chisinau Youth Orchestra”. The general partner of these concerts is the Edelweiss Foundation founded by Vlad Plahotniuc.
