Since August 6 the Child helpline is promoted nationally through an unprecedented mobilization initiated by the Vlad Plahotniuc’s “Edelweiss” Foundation – by launching an information campaign about the methods by which the domestic violence victims may apply for help and support.
Under “PROTECTED FAMILIES” slogan the Foundation launched already an emotional TV video clip, which very quickly became popular achieving a record number of views – more than 200.000.

Moreover, there were installed more than 100 billboards around the country, so that more people from as many localities as possible could learn about the methods by which children who need help can call on specialists.
At the same time #SayNoToDomesticViolence community was created online, where those who wish to support this cause can post their photos wearing purple ribbon – the international symbol of the fight against domestic violence.
All this mobilization comes following several volunteers who mobilized themselves a few days ago have joined the Vlad Plahotniuc’s Foundation distributing informational materials and purple ribbons.

According to the Vlad Plahotniuc’s “Edelweiss” Foundation the PROTECTED FAMILIES Campaign does not stop here. In the coming period several psychological and legal counselling centres will be opened, where women suffering from abuse will be able to receive free specialized assistance. At the beginning the centres are going to be opened in Hincesti, Cahul and Drochia.

The PROTECTED FAMILIES Campaign aims to contribute to solving real cases of abuse against children and women in Moldova through involvement and informing the victims about the ways they can get professional help. The Campaign was launched less than a month ago at the initiative of the “Edelweiss” founder – Vlad Plahotniuc.
