Dozens of children, along with their parents attended this Sunday the eighth edition of the “Carols, Carols” Christmas Festival.
Several choral bands from all over the country: Balti, Straseni, Magdacesti, Rezina and Chisinau, overall 300 voices jointed the Moldovan National Youth Orchestra and brought the Great News about the Birth of the Lord. “It is a real pleasure for us to participate in this great event where we can sing the most beautiful traditional carols.”, said one of the carollers.
The hall hardly accommodated all those who wanted to fully experience the festivity of winter holidays.
“Very beautiful, cordially. A concert that shows how beautiful our Moldovan traditions are and teaches us to value them.”, said one of the spectators present at the event.
The President of the Festival Elena Marian thanked the Edelweiss Foundation and the founder Vlad Plahotniuc for the support given in the organization of the eighth edition of the event. “I want to thank the Edelweiss Foundation and I am very grateful to Mr. Vlad Plahotniuc since this idea comes from him. It was like a good seed planted in the ground and it is growing for the 8th year.”, said the President of the Choral Music Association of Moldova Elena Marian.
The “Edelweiss” Foundation provides financial support for the Festival for many years. During 2017 the Foundation supported the organization of several cultural events. “We thank the Choral Music Association of Moldova for organization and beautiful cooperation that we have. You are the true promoters of the traditions of our ancestors. ”, said Lidia Cucos the Executive Director of the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss”.
