More than 7,000 children were provided with free consultations by the doctors within the “Revive Moldova” mobile paediatric cabinet during those 8 months since the project initiated by Vlad Platotniuc’s “Edelweiss” Foundation was launched.

Since April till now the doctors within the first tournament of the mobile paediatric cabinet reached 103 villages of the Republic of Moldova where there are no dispensaries. They had modern equipment at their disposal, including an ultrasound machine, which usually is extremely rare in dispensaries.
In some cases the intervention of the doctors of the mobile paediatric cabinet saved lives. 10 children were found with serious illness and were urgently hospitalized in the district hospitals where they could receive necessary care.

Overall, those 14 paediatricians and 7 ultrasound specialists prescribed treatments for respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, dermatological, dental, digestive and nutrition problems of the children. Thus, it was found that more than 5,000 children weigh less than normal, nearly a thousand children suffer from ENT disorders, and more than 800 suffer from digestive system diseases, among which the most widespread is gastritis.

Nearly 500 children suffer from acute respiratory diseases. Most often the children consulted within the “Revive Moldova” campaign complained of various dental diseases. One in seven children has tooth decay, and suffers from fluorosis or stomatitis. The good news is that more than 700 children consulted by the doctors of the mobile paediatric cabinet are perfectly healthy.
