Dozens of children from Hancesti town, as well as from neighbouring villages were examined free of charge by specialised doctors within the “Revive Moldova/Paediatric Cabinet” Campaign launched by the Vlad Plahotniuc’s “Edelweiss” Foundation.

Most of children have benefited from their first ultrasound investigation, following which paediatricians have found various diseases the little ones were suffering from: “Most frequently the children had problems, pathologies in otorhinolaryngology, with chronic tonsillitis, nasopharyngitis. In most severe cases they were referred to paediatricians”.

The parents of the children received the paediatricians with great joy and listened carefully their recommendations. “We came to the paediatric cabinet for children’s health; we want to be sure of our future. It is a very good, well thought project. Edelweiss revives Moldova”.

According to the Edelweiss representatives more than 5,300 children were examined so far: “We have consulted more than 5,300 children. In 10 cases the children’s life was at risk. Ambulances were called immediately. It is important for us to save a child, but the fact that we could save 10 children already demonstrates a lot of things. Our campaign is a welcomed one”, said Lara Moraru, the executive director of the “Edelweiss” Foundation.

“Revive Moldova” Campaign which is organised together with the Ministry of Health reached so far 75 localities of the country and will end in November.
