Gladness to tears happened in a family in Glodeni district. 35-year old Natalia Ursu gave birth to four children: three boys and a girl. Today the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” made a visit and brought them four boxes with items necessary for children, baby carriages for the four babies, and offered financial support as well.

Natalia Ursu managed to give birth to quadruplets due to an in vitro fertilization procedure, and the doctors say the babies are perfectly healthy.
“Usually, in such cases, pregnancy occurs with a high and even very high probability of premature birth. In our case, the patient received the necessary treatment of course, and the children were born in a satisfactory condition.”, said gynaecologist Irina Castravet.

Because it is not easy to raise four little children, Natalia decided to send a letter to the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” asking for help.
“You wrote to us, and we came to you with everything you need for these wonderful babies. We also brought two carriages, so all the four babies would fit in them.”, said the Executive Director of the Foundation Lidia Cucos.

The young family was overjoyed by the Foundation’s support, especially since childcare is associated with high costs.
“We are very happy. Thanks a lot to Mr. Plahotniuc and the Edelweiss Foundation.”, said father of the newborn babies Ion Ursu.

And in order future mothers to have better conditions at the hospital the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” donated to the Institute of Mother and Child several articles of stainless steel to transport bed sheets, food, and wastes as well.
“We hope and believe it will be of great help to the hospital. We wanted to give a helping hand to ensure the best conditions for all the moms who deliver here. We also brought a shoe cover machine.”, said the Executive Director of the Foundation Lidia Cucos.

In the summer of 2016 the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” initiated “A New Life” Social Campaign to support young families in which babies are born. Since then almost 11 thousand boxes with goods of primary necessity for baby care have been distributed in 4 maternity departments.
