01 September 2017On the occasion of the First Bell Vlad Plahotniuc visited the students and teachers from the Prometheus high school in Grozesti, where he had studied for 10 years. On this occasion, he met with some of his former teachers and spoke with parents and students of the high school.

“It is a great pleasure for me to attend the opening of the school year in my native village. I have a triple feeling in these moments: gratitude to my teachers who have taught me, but also to all teachers who work day by day, pride for these beautiful pupils and nostalgia for the times when I was studying in the school in Grozesti”, Vlad Plahotniuc said to those who were present at the ceremony.
Vlad Plahotniuc has come with gifts for his school, namely 20 computers and an interactive whiteboard for the computer lab. Also, he announced that the Edelweiss Foundation will entirely pay the university education in the Republic of Moldova for 10 high school students who will graduate this academic year with the best learning outcomes.
After the opening ceremony ended Vlad Plahotniuc being invited by the high school headmaster went up to the 3rd floor to open the newly-equipped computer classroom together with several children and teachers. The high school management as well as the local administration representatives thanked Vlad Plahotniuc for the support provided to the high school and the village. “The Local Public Administration of Grozesti village owes much gratitude to him for solving our problems”, Silvia Crismaru said, the mayor of Grozesti village.
At the end of the event Vlad Plahotniuc offered flowers to his former teachers and took pictures with the high school students.
