Ecaterina Caraman won the top prize at the International Piano Competition
25 October 2016Only seven years old little pianist Ecaterina Caraman won the 1st place and the Cup of the International Piano Competition “Nice-Cote D’Azur – 2016” in France. She was the only representative of our country and managed to astound by her talent and to defeat the best pianists from France, Italy, Germany, Russia and Japan.

The “Edelweiss” Foundation supported Ecaterina’s participation in this competition after its founder Vlad Plahotniuc has promised to support the girl in achieving her dream to become the best pianist.
“Congratulations, Ecaterina! Your way to achieve the cherished dream has started. Congratulations and further success, I and Edelweiss will totally support you in future!” said Vlad Plahotniuc to Ecaterina Caraman after hearing about the result obtained in competition in France.
Several months ago the Edelweiss Foundation has donated to the girl a piano and offered her a scholarship for one year.
