The center for children social rehabilitation “Gavroshe house” organized on December 26th, 2011 an extraordinary celebration for all the guests who came with different Christmas donations. The list of frequent guests is marked by the Foundation for the Development of the Republic of Moldova “Edelweiss”.

“Gavroshe House” is the only center in the Chisinau municipality that aims at the rehabilitation and re-socializing children who come from families in the group of risk of abandonment. Today the center hosts 16 children who study in the surrounding schools, and come “home” every day after classes, where they are treated with care and love.

This time the Edelweiss Foundation came with a lot of Christmas presents: candies, toys and medications that are needed for the children. In return, the children organized a true celebration and they read poems, sang songs and performed artistic plays.
Nina Dodon, the director of the Center mentioned: “We are very glad to see you again close to our children, and I am very thankful to the Edelweiss Foundation for their awareness and desire to fulfill our necessities.

During Christmas time, the Edelweiss Foundation plans to carry out a number of activities aimed at supporting socially vulnerable layers of the society of the Republic of Moldova.
