Edelweiss set up a playground at the Institute of Mother and Child
02 June 2016On June 1, the Edelweiss Foundation offered a playground as a gift for the children coming to the Institute of Mother and Child from Chisinau. The playground was set up right in the lobby of the institution, being equipped with special slides and swings, as well as a soft surface, where children can play in safety.

“On International Children’s Day we decided to come again next to the Institute of Mother and Child, which became for us a project of soul. Today we came with a surprise. It is a children playground set up by the Edelweiss Foundation as a gift for the mothers and their children that visit this hospital”, said the executive director of the Edelweiss Foundation, Lara Moraru.
Doctors and parents are excited about this playground for children, because it helps the little ones to overcome the stress caused usually by a visit to hospital. “A hospital should be a friend to a child. These surfaces are equipped with toys and they allow a more comfortable stay in the hospital whether it is a consultation or other circumstances”, said the deputy director of the Institute of Mother and Child, Neli Revenco.
The Director of the Institute of Mother and Child Sergiu Gladun as well expressed gratitude to the Edelweiss Foundation. “Edelweiss made a very beautiful, sweet and soulful donation”, he said.
It should be reminded that the Edelweiss Foundation conducted an extensive national campaign to modernize the Institute of Mother and Child under the slogan “Revive Moldova”. The funds donated under this project were spent on several renovation works in the Maternity Department.
