Information on the “Scholarships for 100 young people” project can be found from today in all high schools of the Republic of Moldova. This was possible after the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” has distributed informative posters about this project in all 32 district centres, as well as high schools from our country. Also, under this action the Edelweiss representatives went to the Theoretical Lyceum “Mihai Viteazul” from Chisinau to inform the young people from this educational institution about the foundation’s project.

“Starting from today information about the “100 scholarships” project will be available in all the districts of the Republic of Moldova. In this way we want to inform and call on all high-school students with good results, who move this year up to 12th grade to apply for a scholarship under the competition initiated by our foundation. Through this project we want to support young people who want to achieve more and to succeed in school”, said the President of the Edelweiss Foundation Lara Moraru.

We remind that the Edelweiss Foundation has launched on June 5, 2017 an educational project dedicated to high-school students from the Republic of Moldova called “Scholarships for 100 young people”. The project is aimed at young people from the 12th grade with good learning outcomes to provide them financial support in their school activity.

Under this project 100 young Moldovans will become scholars of the Edelweiss Foundation during the 2017-2018 academic year. Thus, each of the young persons who will pass the competitive selection will receive a monthly scholarship amounting 500 lei during 9 months (from September 2017 until May 2018). The entire budget allocated for this project is 450,000 lei.

According to the established timetable the application for participation may be submitted from June 5 until August 6, 2017. Each application must include a curriculum vitae, copies of diplomas and certificates demonstrating the participation in high school competitions and Olympiads over the last two years of study, average grades for the past two years, and an original essay titled “I am the future of my country”.

Between August 7 and August 31 the representatives of the Administration Board of the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” will select the applications, and the winners of those 100 scholarships will be announced on September 1, 2017.
