Vlad Plahotniuc’s “Edelweiss” Foundation launched within the “Protected Families” project an information tour about domestic violence.
The secondary school in Gaşpar village, Edinet district was the first stop within the “Say NO to domestic violence” tour. Here, pupils have learned how to react if they notice acts of abuse.

Vlad Plahotniuc’s “Edelweiss” Foundation’s initiative was appreciated both by pupils and teachers. “Pupils of the 8th and 9th grades learned a lot of interesting things, things that they will practice to say NO to violence, since they found about domestic violence, violence in a class and non-verbal abuse. And this is something very welcomed for secondary schools”, said Larisa Gribincea, the headmistress of the secondary school in Gaşpar village.

“Say NO to violence” tour will be held in the secondary schools in several districts of the country and aims to promote family values among pupils. According to the project manager Sabina Crigan the “Protected Families” campaign managed to inform many people on how they can identify a child who is abused and what are the services that are available to victims of domestic violence.

We remind that currently Vlad Plahotniuc’s “Edelweiss” Foundation simultaneously carries on several actions to inform people about the effects of domestic violence and for everyone’s involvement in fighting this phenomenon. Thus, during this period a pupil’s painting competition is conducted as well whereby “Edelweiss” Foundation promotes values that are fundamental for a harmonious family. At the same time, Vlad Plahotniuc’s Foundation organizes a charity concert dedicated to raising funds for the Multifunctional Anti-Violence Social Centre “Helmut Wolf” from Ciuciuleni village, Hincesti district.
