Edelweiss offered financial support amounting 400,000 lei to support the “Phoenix” Centre
About 35 children with special needs who benefit from daily services of the “Phoenix” Centre have a reason for joy. Their institution, which was opened two years ago in Riscani town received financial support amounting 400,000 lei from the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss”. The money provided by Edelweiss will help the children at this Centre to be trained in various socialization and personal development activities.
 
On this occasion the management of the Centre organized a sporting event, and a lottery that provided children with gifts. “In addition to the conditions for a healthier lifestyle, we want to give these children the chance to a normal life and small mercies. In this regard each child was able to get a nice gift”, said Victoria Dunford, the director of the “Phoenix” Centre.
 
In turn, the representatives of the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” have thanked the “Phoenix” Centre management for their work done for the benefit of children with special needs. “We want to thank you for what you do for these children, for what you do for the Republic of Moldova, for how you represent our country abroad”, said Lidia Cucos, the Executive Director of the “Edelweiss” Foundation.
 
It should be mentioned that more than 400 children with special needs benefit from the services of the “Phoenix” Centre every year. The maintenance costs are almost 1.2 million lei and to the extent of 95% are assured by the sponsors that support the activity of this Centre.
