Petro Poroshenko, the president of Ukraine, supports Vlad Plahotniuc’s project on modernizing the Institute of Mother and Child: “it is a vivid example of what can be achieved through involvement”

In the framework of the visit of Vlad Plahotniuc, the initiator of the campaign and the founder of Edelweiss Foundation together with Petro Poroshenko, the last highly appreciated the ambitious actions undertaken to modernize the Institute of Mother and Child.
The message of Revive Moldova social campaign is supported by the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. In the framework of the visit of Vlad Plahotniuc, the initiator of the campaign and the founder of Edelweiss Foundation together with Petro Poroshenko, the last highly appreciated the ambitious actions undertaken to modernize the Institute of Mother and Child.
“This project is a perfect example of what can be achieved through involvement, because it is extremely important to offer good conditions for future mothers. Due to this type of projects the changes in the society are much more visible”, mentioned Poroshenko at the Institute of Mother and Child.
The President of Ukraine mentioned that Revive Moldova campaign is similar with a project carried out in his country, having as a goal the modernization of perinatal centers. “I encourage this campaign, with a very significant name for Moldova. We have a similar project in Ukraine, which aims at developing the perinatal centers. I believe that together with the revival of the country begins with the revival of these centers”, mentioned the chief of the Ukrainian state.
Vlad Plahotniuc, the founder of Edelweiss, is the initiator of the project for the modernization of the Institute of Mother and Child, talked about the reason he invited Petro Poroshenko to visit this maternity, as well as about the importance of Revive Moldova project. “I am very happy that I had the chance to invite this honorable guest, the President of Ukraine and old friend, Petro Poroshenko. Recently, during one of my visits to Ukraine I told him about this social project and he agreed to support it instantly”, said Vlad Plahotniuc.
“Our countries have a lot of things in common, we have the same aspirations. I am happy to acknowledge that babies of all nationalities are being born in this medical institution, including Ukrainians. We want to offer the best conditions. The support of our friends is very important in this regard”, added Vlad Plahotniuc, the launcher of Revive Moldova campaign.
The Revive Moldova social campaign has been launched in April, in the framework of a charity concert organized by Edelweiss Foundation. Since then, thousands of donations have been received from personalities of the Moldova and abroad, from politicians, business people, who joined the campaign and sent support messages. The campaign was a true success, and the necessary funds for the repair works have been raised. The first steps of the project are over and new maternity wards are already filled with patients.
