It is said that every man in his life for personal fulfilment should plant a tree, build a house and bring up a child. This week, the young Dulgher family has fulfilled one of its greatest dreams – a house of their own. They are the first beneficiaries of the “First House” Government program launched a month ago.
 
They confessed that they were tired of renting and have been dreaming for a good while already of buying a house they would call “home”. And if they have managed to fulfil the dream to become the owners of an apartment, they have not yet hoped for furniture, home appliances and other necessary things.
 
The Edelweiss Founder Vlad Plahotniuc found out from the press about the story of the young people and was impressed by the beautiful family of hardworking people and eager to build a future at home, in Moldova. He decided to congratulate them on the new house and to make them another surprise before the holidays.
 
The Foundation’s representatives visited Claudia and Ion yesterday. They did not come empty-handed, and have donated a voucher in the amount of 40,000 lei, which allows them buying furniture for the whole house, as well as home appliances in the amount of 20,000 lei necessary for a modern kitchen. 
 
“We came on behalf of the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss”. We came to convey you good wishes from the founder of the fund, who congratulates you on this important moment in your life. We wish you harmony and happiness in your new home.” said the Executive Director of the Edelweiss Foundation Lidia Cucos.
 
The young people were extremely excited about the surprise; they did not expect to have so much joy in a single week.
 
“First of all, I want to thank the Government for the “First house” project. It gave a chance to a young family. The first support was the first house, this is the second support we thank you very much for.” said Ion.
 
“I want to thank the Edelweiss Foundation, Mr. Vlad Plahotniuc and his entire team for this wonderful surprise, for these gifts which will certainly be useful for us.” said Claudia with tears in her eyes.  
 
There were a lot of emotions inside the Foundation’s team as well, especially since they could offer this gift just before the Easter Holidays.
 
“We are happy on this day in the Holy week to be together with a beautiful family, whose dream of having its own home was fulfilled. They are beautiful and courageous young people who believed in their dream and believed that they could build a beautiful future here at home”, said Lidia Cucos.
 
The gift for the Dulgher family is another action of the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” to encourage young people to stay in the country and contribute to a beautiful future for the Republic of Moldova. Happy families, young people supported and encouraged to follow their dreams, well-cared children, support and respect for the old people are all elements of a healthy and prosperous society, and the Edelweiss Foundation wants its every action to be a small contribution for such a society.
