Olesea Gudima has now become mother for the fourth time. He has three sons at home, and this time her family enriched with a little girl. She is surprised and happy about the gift box received from Edelweiss and says that besides relatives it’s hard to imagine that someone wants to give you a helping hand so your baby would not miss anything.
“Until now I have not received gifts at birth, only presents from the godparents, just it. It is very nice for mothers, when someone comes with such a gift box”.
Anastasia has gone through difficult moments to give birth to her little boy and lives a great joy in these moments in which she and her baby are healthy. When the Edelweiss team entered the hospital room to congratulate her she cried of emotion and happiness.
“It was very difficult deliveries. When I saw him so tiny I thanked God, and I said God, I brought my boy to the world. His name is Gheorghita”, said Anastasia Doroftei with tears in her eyes.
All mothers were impressed by the products found in the boxes they received as gift and said that the diapers, clothes and mattress will be of great use to them, even in the early days.
The director of the maternity ward in Nisporeni Liuba Zgrivaci says that through “A New Life” the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc managed to bring a lot of joy in her maternity ward.
“We feel some kind of liveliness, movement. The number of births has increased. Mothers are pleasantly surprised, they are satisfied by the gifts. If it ever happened that a birth took place on a day off or a holiday, and the mother did not receive the gift, then it was delivered straight at home, which fact surprises everyone”.
The Executive Director of the Edelweiss Foundation Lidia Cucos talked about the Foundation’s aim to offer the children of Moldova a good start in life.
“Children are nothing but the future of our country. And we understand that when we invest in children we actually invest in the future, in country, in young families that deserve to be helped and supported. Since the beginning of the campaign we have distributed 450 boxes only here in Nisporeni and over 14,800 across the country”.
“A New Life” Campaign is being implemented at the maternity ward in Nisporeni since April 2017.
