Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” offered to “Alexei Mateevici” High School in Donduseni the necessary sports equipment
12 October 2018Continuing the actions to encourage sport performance and a healthy lifestyle for children the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” responded to the request of the “Alexei Mateevici” High School in Donduseni town to provide support in carrying out sports lessons. The Edelweiss team came to the high school with balls for volleyball, basketball and football, and several gymnastic mats.
Continuing the actions to encourage sport performance and a healthy lifestyle for children the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” responded to the request of the “Alexei Mateevici” High School in Donduseni town to provide support in carrying out sports lessons. The Edelweiss team came to the high school with balls for volleyball, basketball and football, and several gymnastic mats.
Pupils have been delighted with these gifts that will make them wait impatiently to have sports lessons, knowing they have the opportunity to play so many different games.
“We have the opportunity to play better any sport. Our balls are old already. They are so torn that we hit when we threw them with our hands”, said a pupil.
“There are a lot of children at the training and it was difficult to play only with one ball”, said another pupil of the high school.
The physical education teachers and high school administration were very happy with the gifts they received and said that this sports equipment will be useful not only for those 563 children who are currently studying at the high school, but also for many subsequent generations.
“These balls are of superior quality. Thank you very much for your cooperation, for your acceptance”, said physical education teacher Elena Fedisin.
“We addressed the Edelweiss Foundation knowing that they are responsive to the wishes of the people and indeed, from the very beginning we were treated with great love and care”, said the “Alexei Mateevici” High School Headmistress Anelia Bordeianu.
The Edelweiss Executive Director Lidia Cucos has talked about the Foundation’s willingness to respond to as many requests as possible and to help where necessary, whether we talk about children or the elderly. “The Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” supports and encourages sports. Our presence in this high school in Donduseni once again proves this fact. We found out that young people here lack sports equipment. We came here with great pleasure and brought them all they needed”.
This donation of sports equipment is not the first Foundation’s contributions to the happiness of the children in Donduseni. The District Chairman Vadim Lesnic also reminded the park that Edelweiss constructed in the town and thanked on behalf of the district’s inhabitants for the entire support. “We have a wonderful playground in Donduseni constructed by Edelweiss, which all children enjoy. This sports equipment is another nice gift for which we thank you”.
