The National Palace hosted for one evening a wonderful show dedicated to people with special needs. Famous singers of popular and folk music performed on the stage bringing smile and spiritual joy to these exceptional people. The event was organized by the “Vatra” Cultural Society supported by the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss”.
“Every concert unleashes your energy, only positive energy”, said a visibly excited young woman with locomotor disorders since birth Rodica Pahomi.
We wanted people with special needs to know that we support them to overcome all the hardship and that they are a model of courage and determination for us.
“The Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” supports programs aimed at providing support to people with disabilities. Each of us should realize that they are people from whom we can and should take example because they have an extraordinary life-breath”, said the Executive Director of the “Edelweiss” Foundation Lidia Cucos.
The most impressive moment of the evening was when a young woman Corina Filipciuc who is immobilized in a wheelchair recited a poem. Her message managed to excite the audience drawing them to tears.
“I liked when the ballerinas danced and the little girl recited a poem, I almost shed a tear”, said a little girl from the audience.
The hall was filled with great-hearted people, children and older people, who came from all over the country to show their solidarity and to convey to people with special needs that they are not alone.
“I took as much positive energy as possible for the whole year and especially because we are now in the fever of winter holidays”; “We left in a great mood after the concert” - these are just some of the testimonies of the spectators at the end of the event.
The organizers the “Vatra” Cultural Society said that their goal was to remind the members of the society about people with disabilities and show them that we are all together.
“We raise a little more awareness inside our society because it is our duty to encourage them and show support. First of all we are glad that we succeeded. We thank once again Mr. Vlad Plahotniuc for the support he has provided us”, said the President of the “Vatra” Cultural Society Vlad Negruzzi.
