In the framework of “Together we succeed” campaign, “Edelweiss” Foundation started the collaboration process with“Olimpus-85-USEFS”club, the only handball club from the Republic of Moldova, which participates on a regularly basis in different international competitions, such as Europe Cups.
“Edelweiss” Foundation offered to the members of the handball team sports equipment worth 25 000 lei. Anatolii Pervaciuc, the President of the handball club mentioned: “We are grateful to Edelweiss Foundation for being sensitive to our request because international competitions are extremely important to the team that is why modern sportswear was more than just a simple necessity for the team members of the club”.
The Executive Director of “Edelweiss” Foundation, Aneta Serbusca mentioned: “sports is an organized complex and systematic activity that cannot achieve its objectives without financial support. We are pleased that we were able to contribute to sports ‘of the Republic of Moldova sustainability and we will continue doing this. Sports become and should be considered the mirror of the culture and society as a whole, since it symbolizes the hope and future perspectives. Sports develop certain qualities in people: will power, discipline, competitiveness and all of the mentioned lead to performances.
At present, the sportsmen of “Olimpus” club are getting prepared for participation in “Cup Winners Cup 2010”, which will take place in Hungary on 27-28 of November of the current year.
