Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” has selected the winners of the “Village of the future” national project
04 May 2017The five winning projects within the Competition for the modernization of Moldovan villages have been determined by the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss”.

The five winning projects within the Competition for the modernization of Moldovan villages have been determined by the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss”. These projects had been submitted by the following villages: Valeni, Cahul district; Mindic, Drochia district; Meseni, Rezina district; Milestii Mici, Ialoveni district and Sarata Galbena, Hincesti district. Each of these localities will benefit from an award amounting 200.000 lei from “Edelweiss”, and the money will be used to finance local development projects submitted within the competition.
It should be mentioned that 42 projects took part in competition and have been analyzed by a jury made up of members of the Board of Directors of the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss”. The projects declared as winners by the Foundation’s jury aim to support actions such as: promotion of the tradition of carpet weaving, reconstruction and modernization of the street lighting system, construction and outfitting a source of drinking water supply, ensuring necessary facilities for a playground, procurement of a minibus for preschool children, among which several are locomotor patients.
We remind that on March 3 this year the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” has initiated a competition within the “Village of the future” national project aiming primarily at modernisation of rural localities of the Republic of Moldova. According to the Competition Rules, the mayors from all over the country had the opportunity to send one or several projects to the Edelweiss headquarters, following that five best projects would be funded by the Foundation.
The Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” is aiming by means of the “Village of the future” national project to support local development projects and in this way to stimulate the families from our country to build their future in Moldova.
