Vlad Plahotniuc’s "Edelweiss" Foundation launches a project 100 scholarships for young people

On Monday, June 5, 2017, the Edelweiss Foundation is launching a special project for high school students from the Republic of Moldova, who will go to 12th grade in autumn.

Within this project, 100 young Moldovans will become scholars of the Edelweiss Foundation during the 2017-2018 school year. Each of the young persons selected will receive a monthly scholarship of 500 lei for 9 months (from September 2017 until May 2018). The budget of the program is 450,000 lei.

"We are delighted to be able to offer this project to young people in the last year of their high school. We want to reward those who study well and who already have a vision of the role they want to assume for the future of Moldova. It's one of our campaigns from the heart, ".

Applications are accepted from 5 June until 6 August of 2017. Each application must include a CV, copies of diplomas and certificates to demonstrate participation in high school competitions and olympiads over the last two years of study, grades for the past two years, and an original essay titled "I am the future of my country." Between 7 and 31 August, the administration board of Vlad Plahotniuc’s "Edelweiss" Foundation will select the applications, and 100 winners of the contest will be announced on 1 September 2017.
