International Opera and Ballet Festival “Maria Biesu” brought many smiles and a lot of joy to teenagers from the “Blessed Joseph” orphanage, who had the opportunity to see for the first time in their life a ballet show.

The surprise was offered by the Vlad Plahotniuc’s “Edelweiss” Foundation whose philanthropic gesture to provide show tickets to children from orphan asylums and those from socially vulnerable families became already a tradition.

Children from the “Blessed Joseph” orphanage enjoyed the ballet show “Spartacus” played for the first time in Chisinau within the International Opera and Ballet Festival “Maria Biesu”.
“It was very interesting. Many emotions, drama, and special movements. I would like to be like them”, said one of the children present at the show.

The 24th edition of the International Opera and Ballet Festival “Maria Biesu” will continue until September 18 and will end with a gala concert. This event is organized with the support of the Vlad Plahotniuc’s “Edelweiss” Foundation and is carried out under the auspices of Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
