Anastasia Lazariuc gets involved in Revive Moldova campaign with a donation for improvement of the Institute of Mother and Child
09 May 2014Anastasia Lazariuc, a well-known singer, has joined today the Revive Moldova campaign with a donation of 10.000 lei, money that will be used for modernizing the Institute of Mother and Child from Chisinau. Anastasia Lazariuc herself was born at the Institute of Mother and Child and also gave birth to her daughter 32 years ago. She decided to get involved in the campaign after her discussion with Vladimir Plahotniuc, the founder of Edelweiss Foundation who explained the ambitious goals of the campaign.

Anastasia Lazariuc, a well-known singer, has joined today the Revive Moldova campaign with a donation of 10.000 lei, money that will be used for modernizing the Institute of Mother and Child from Chisinau. Anastasia Lazariuc herself was born at the Institute of Mother and Child and also gave birth to her daughter 32 years ago. She decided to get involved in the campaign after her discussion with Vladimir Plahotniuc, the founder of Edelweiss Foundation who explained the ambitious goals of the campaign.
Anastasia Lazariuc mentioned that she joined the campaign with much love and truly hopes more people will join. “Do something wonderful, place the seed of quality this hospital needs. Even though the country is going through difficult times, mothers of Moldova deserve to deliver in better conditions. I know that people have made donations; therefore I also decided to contribute with 10.000 lei. ”
Stefan Gatcan, the Director General of the Institute of Mother and Child was deeply impressed with the gesture of Anastasia Lazariuc and reiterated the campaign’s goal: “the goal of the campaign is to raise one million euros. Together with people of great hearts, we want to renovate this medical institution and to upgrade the level of care for mothers and newborns.”
We remind you that a number of public figures from Moldova and abroad, including Tanya Cerga, Catalin Josan, Lithuanian singer Laima Vaicule made significant donations in the framework of Revive Moldova campaign.
The campaign is being supported by Edelweiss Foundation and its founder, Vlad Plahotniuc, who came with the biggest contribution so far.
The money raised in a year, will be used for repair works, modernizing and purchase of necessary medical equipment for the patients of Mother and Child Institute. The renovation process consists of six phases and will be implemented in accordance with the raised amounts.
