Today, a team of medical doctors from the board of the Institute of Mother and Child presented the renovation and modernization plan, which will be implemented with the help of the raised funds in the framework of REVIVE MOLDOVA campaign.

Thus, within a year, the Institute of Mother and Child will undergo 6 stages of repair works, all aiming at improving the comfort and safety standards for patients of maternity. The works will be performed on two floors and entrance hall, inpatient ward, two gynecological wards, two examination rooms, three birth wards, one surgery room, seven infirmaries, eight patient wards, Intensive care unit, eight laboratories and the first prenatal Screening Center opened in a state hospital.

Based on the modernization and renovation plan, patients visiting the Mother and Child Institute will enjoy better conditions starting with the hospital’s courtyard. The director general of Mother and Child Institute, Stefan Gatcan mentioned: “The renovation project is a vital need and after the implementation of the proposed project we will be able to offer quality services. Our objective is to reach the adequate quality standards in regards to patients’ safety and comfort”.
