At the end of the year, the Edelweiss Foundation was back with the R-1 Amateur champions from the Republic of Moldova. Practitioners of this type of sports who had the best results in 2013 were awarded by edelweiss during K-1 Awards Gala, held at the end of the week.

The foundation offered six prizes with the total value of 50,000 MDL, among them the prize for “The best R-1 Amateur fighter”, “The youngest champion” and “Breakthrough of the year”. Edelweiss offered its support to the R-1 national team on different occasions, including the World Championship from Riga, held in October earlier this year. Our sportsmen came back from Riga with 19 medals.

The executive director at Edelweiss, Lara Moraru, was also present at the event. In her speech she congratulated the fighters for great results and wished them success in the future. “It was a true joy for us to make a team with these sportsmen, who came home with medals and international recognition”, said Lara Moraru.

Through its activity, the edelweiss Foundation supports and awards performance in every field – sports, art and education.
