IMC Undergoes Unprecedented Modernizations “Revive Moldova” Project will Continue Throughout Next Year

According to Mr. Stephen Gaţcan, IMC Director, extensive improvements are undertaken as to inaugurate a part of childbed rooms. These will secure the highest quality conditions for mothers and their newborns.
The ongoing renovations are unprecedented in the history of the medical institution. Within just a few months after its launching, the inpatient admission department was improved and endowed with advanced equipment and furniture; a ramp was built to facilitate the patients’ access to maternity department, as well as one of the childbirth rooms was upgraded meeting the European standards.
“In less than 6 months, the Revive Moldova campaign, initiated by Mr. Plahotniuc, has shown great results in our institute”, declared Mr. Stephen Gaţcan, General Director of IMC. He was pleased to find out that the full amount required for modernization of all 6 stages has been collected during the Revive Moldova campaign. He also presented a detailed costs report during the work meeting. The IMC Director expects the project to be completed in 2015.
IMC patients, likewise the medical staff are already enjoying the improved conditions in the maternity. "Revive Moldova project is a great motivation for the doctors of the inpatient admission department. Now we have the best conditions to receive and consult the patients, while the mothers who were here before and return for the second or third birth, are pleasantly surprised to see the changes, especially now when have modern equipment almost in every examination room, while complications that may arise during patient consultation, can be easily managed and monitored. We are now having trainings on how to operate the new equipment and are more confident as we know the exact diagnosis of our patients", says Mr. Victor Botnari, the Head of Maternity Hospitalization.
As a reminder, Revive Moldova project was launched in April this year, at the initiative of Mr. Plahotniuc and gained momentum grace to Edelweiss Foundation.
