More than 21 thousand children from rural areas received free medical consultations through "Mobile Paediatric Office 2017/Moldova Reborn", carried out by the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc "Edelweiss".
During the 7 months of journey throughout the country, "Mobile Paediatric Office" has reached at least 325 villages where there are no hospitals and access of children to medical services is limited. The three mobile caravans of the campaign had modern medical equipment, including ultrasonography device to diagnose internal organs conditions.
The team of "Mobile Paediatric Office" made of 19 paediatricians and 20 medical imaging specialists have prescribed 4914 treatments for respiratory conditions, 5718 for digestive tract or nutrition disorders, and over 7235 treatments for nose, throat and eye disorders.
Children consulted during the campaign most often complained of various dental conditions, 7005 of them suffered from dental cavities, fluorosis or stomatitis. On the positive side, the doctors said that 2767 children, who came to medical check-ups, were perfectly healthy.
The campaign "Mobile Paediatric Office 2017" was initiated by the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc "Edelweiss" in April of the current year, to continue the project under the same name carried out last year in partnership with Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection.
In 2016, for the results of "Mobile Paediatric Office" project, "Teleradio-Moldova" company designated "Edelweiss" the Foundation of the Year.
